Oceania Section Conferences

Upcoming Meetings

ESA-SCBO 2022

The joint ESA-SCBO 2022 conference will be held from 28 November to 2 December, 2022 in Wollongong NSW with the theme Reconnecting: Reconnecting with Nature, Reconnecting with Each Other.

As the world begins to open again, many of us are embracing the opportunity to reconnect – with each other, with nature, and with efforts to restore connections within nature. The ESA and SCB Oceania invite you to build, explore and share these ‘reconnections’ at our joint conference on Dharawal Country in Wollongong, NSW, Australia.

ESA-SCBO 2022 will be an in-person conference but a limited number of online options will be offered, including live-streamed plenaries, some live-streamed symposia and some of the presentations being made available online after the conference.

Student Conference on Conservation Science, Brisbane, Australia
The Oceania Section supports the Environmental Decisions Group at the University of Queensland which held a Student Conference on Conservation Science (SCCS) in Brisbane, Australia in late January 2013 (download the flyer). We raised enough funds to fully cover 30 students from countries that have limited funding options. SCCS represents an enormous opportunity for students interested in conservation research to network and gain valuable skills.
